Well this week has turned out more relaxed to say the least. No work until thursday so i’ve been chilling out and doing all those errands I never got round to including, sending parcels, doing laundry, blah boring stuff. 

However yesterday was fairly fun, I shot a film of Rob Wong showing off his parkour skills, and we’re gonna do a night shoot tonight which should be a lot of fun. Get some sexy sunset shots. Sadly, I have a shoddy camera, and I’m really wishing I had a canon 550d, the god of a camera it is. So i’ve decided to not go to Canada and actually save up for a decent camera. Saving £3,000 for 3 months in canada and potentially lose my part time job or save £500 and get a decent camera? Hmm, an easy choice.

So yeah, just because I have a month off does not mean I’m not busy. With an RPG to catch up with, a website to write, a flat to clean for the easter inspections, parents to visit, a part time job to tend to, and a trip to amsterdam coming up… when will it all stop? 

ah, what a busy week it’s been.

choosing media theory options (music in the moving image and documentary), stressing out over corfe house being a bitch, major stressing out over my individual film that’s a whole chunk of my final grade this year and starting my new job at carphone warehouse, which is the lols to say the least. 

some lady today was like “MY NOKIA IS BROKEN AND MY SKY HAS PACKED UP AT HOME AND MY LANDLINE DOESN’T WORK AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, MY DOG HAS A TUMA.”

…brb i’ll just get the instore vet. NO. 

So yeah, lots of stress this week, including the weekend which involved me going to a fancy dress party as a panda and getting insulted by a drag queen I was filming for a documentary.

on the bright side, my bank balance is looking up all because of my lifesaver of a mum. i can afford more than one meal a day now, yay. but i kinda have to save the money, because i’m going to amsterdam in a week. oh yeah, bring on the prostitutes o_O

Nickelodeon want me to work in advertising on work experience in ‘april’ but the woman hasn’t got back to me with dates yet which is driving me insaneeee. because i just know it’s gonna be when i go back home for 3 days. yep. i have a whole month off and i’m going home for 3 days. 

what can i say? i love money.

now? i better go to bed, as i look forward to another 5 hours of carphone warehouse lols and if i don’t go to bed soon i will travel forward in time by an hour because yep, it’s that time again, british summertime. To be honest? I can’t wait, Bournemouth is gonna make it the best, i just know it :)

I’ve noticed a lot of people in the south write blogs so I thought I’d rejoin them and actually bother… for a week or so until I get so busy I forget all about it. 

This is one of those 1.30am spare of the moment things.

Anyway…

I’m Loti. I’m a Bournemouth Media Academy student, studying TV Production. I’ve moved from the northern hills to the southern thrills and I’m ready to rock the world with my moving images. And you’re about to read all about it.

Today I woke up startled at 8.10am thinking i’d missed the bus. I’m stupid, i didn’t have class..so I went back to sleep. Had a well deserved lie in and coughed myself awake again. I have terrible flu right now, I feel like death. Not the point. I then tidied a little mainly so I could navigate my room, and then decided I might do some laundry only to look at the clock and find i didn’t have time because I had my first day at work. 

This went surprisingly well. Not just because someone beeped me in their car while I was walked to work. I sat in a room and watched 3 videos about what to do if the jewellers gets burgled or if someone wants a wedding ring. Then I had to draw a map of the shop floor, find some item on the shop floor out of the catalogue and I was out there. It went surprising quick.

After that charade I made some tea, well attempted, I didn’t put the rice in for long enough for my korma :/ I’m useless. Serious.

Then I went to direct a new film called ‘Even the Losers’. It’s written by a really talent scriptwriter called Sam Hutchinson who actually inspired me to start blogging again. He didn’t credit me in his blog though because he didn’t think I read it, mwaha!

The crew for the shoot were fantastic and helpful and I loved working with them, they were all lovely scripties :) we’re hoping to air the short on Nerve* TV (the student TV channel) at the live launch and enter it into the BFI Southbank film festival :)

And that’s about it. Now I’m on webcam to toby, falling asleep, watching Toby sleep.
